Dopo il flop ai botteghini del secondo capitolo delle Cronache di Narnia, la Walt Disney ha deciso di non far piu' parte dei produttori del film. Tuttavia la 20 Century Fox e la Fox 2000 Pictures, hanno deciso di andare avanti con la produzione dei film tratti dagli omonimi libri.
Le Cronache di Narnia sono state scritte da C.S. Lewis ta il 1949 ed il 1954 e comprendono sette volumi. Le Cronache sono caratterizzate da tematiche tipicamente cristiane, anche se la serie attinge a numerosi personaggi della mitologia greca e romana.
Il terzo capitolo della serie, The Voyage of the Down Treader, rivede Edmund e Lucy Pevensie, con l'innesto di un nuovo personaggio, il loro eccentrico cugino Eustace Scrubb.
The Down Treader e' il nome dell'inbarcazione con la quale i tre ragazzi con l'aiuto del Principe Caspian vanno alla ricerca i 7 Nobili che sono stati cacciati dalla Regina Miraz.
Quindi Aslan e' tornato, chissa' se questa volta riuscira a conquistare il pubblico. No credo che ci riuscira.
Il regista di questo film e' Michael Apted, che ben piu' noto nel campo televisivo anziche cinematografico. Forse il suo apice lo ha raggiunto come regista di 007 Il mondo non basta nel 1999.
Che dirvi credo che non vedremo tutti i 7 capitoli sul grande schermo, molto piu' probabile e' una produzione televisiva.

The Down Treader is the name of the ship by which the three boys with the help of Prince Caspian search the 7 Lords who were banished when Queen Miraz took over the throne.
So Aslan is back, who knows, if this time he will be able to conquer the public. I don’t think so.
The director of this film 'Michael Apted, who most well' known in television rather than film. Perhaps he has reached its zenith as the director of 007 The World is not Enough in 1999
What I tell you that we will not see all 7 chapters on the big screen, much more 'probable' a television production.
