Anyway you look at Zack Snyder's film offer something new. At times is very Freudian, the flick presents a world of dreams even worse than the reality itself, just to say, that sometimes dreams are worse than the reality. The all-female film with Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish and Jena Malone, offers many ideas for interpretation, but one thing is sure, at the end of the movie the question remains, what the hall I just watched?

Zack Snyder has already shown with 300 that he will spend to the last cent in graphic effects and visual art, unfortunately this time he used too  much for too little. The result is a film that I didn’t love but I appreciate (especially for the seminude actresses, the only positive note). A film that uses special effects and sound every second of film, but without any meaning. So the story is flat, the end is flat, moral of the story ... 0. Too little for a film from which I expected much more.

For the men will be a pleasure, it seems more like' a game of the lingerie League instead of a movie.

Comunque lo si guardi il film di Zack Snyder offre qualcosa di nuovo. A tratti molto freudiano, il film ci presenta un mondo dei sogni ancora peggiore della realta' stessa. Tanto per dire, che a volte i sogni sono peggio della realta'. Il film tutto al femminile con Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish e Jena Malone, offre vari spunti di interpretazione, ma una cosa e' sicura, la pellicola lascia l'amaro in bocca.

Zack Snyder ha dimostrato gia con 300 e di spendere un sacco di dollari in effetti grafici, purtroppo per lui questa volta ha usato troppo per offrire troppo poco. Il risultato e cosi un film che non ho amato ma aprezzato (sopratutto per le attrici semi nude, unica nota positiva). Un film che usa effetti sonori e violenza a 360° ma senza alcun significato. Cosi che la storia risulta piatta, il finale risulta piatto, morale della favola 0... troppo poco per un film da cui si aspettava molto.

Per il sesso maschile sara' una goduria, infatti sembra piu' una partita della lingerie legue che un film.

How many re-makes have been made by Hollywood lately? Many, and most of them are of poor quality.

I'm Legend (Will Smith) re-make of the movie The Last Man on Earth passed only 4 years, and here we are offered the same story. I’ll not explain 'the plot of the flick for the simple reason that it makes no sense because, first there’s nothing new - if you've seen I'm Legend you already know what is about - as second the movie plot is as bad as it can possibly be, is flat. The actors do not communicate any emotion HaydenChristensen , Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo try their best through the whole movie, pity they fail. A major criticism, however, goes to the cine-photography, for most of the film is tremendous, so dark you cannot truly understand what is happening. There is no Action, they try to create a puzzle but many pieces are missing, and there are just a few thriller moments. It’s a bit what’s happened to The Happening with Mark Wahlberg, the film betrays widely the expectations.

Hmmm... someone has copied the homework....

Ma quanti re-make fa Hollywood ultimamente? Tanti, e la maggior parte sono di pessima qualita' in tutti i sensi.

Da I'm Legend (Will Smith) film re-make della pellicola The Last Man on Earth, sono passati solo 4 anni, ed ecco che ci viene proposta la stessa storia. Non spiegero' la trama del film per il semplice motivo che non ha senso, perche' come primo non e' nulla di nuovo – se avete visto I'm Legend avete visto tutto – come secondo il film ha una storia che non appassiona, e piatta. Anche gli attori non trasmettono nessuna emozione Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton e John Leguizamo ci provano per tutto il film, peccato che falliscano. Una delle maggiori critiche che comunque rivolgo al film e' la fotografia, per la maggior parte del film e tremenda, talmente scura che sinceramente non si riesce a capire quello che succede. Di azione non c'e' niente, si cerca di crere un puzzle ma mancano tanti pezzi, e momenti thriller sono veramente pochi. E' un po quello che e' successo a The Happening con Mark Wahlberg, il film tradisce ampiamente le aspettative.

Koliko re-makeov je naredil Hollywood v zadnjem času? Mnogo, in večina od njih je slabe kakovosti.

I’m Legend (Will Smith) je re-make filma The Last Man on Earth in ot tega so minila le 4 leta, in tu nam pnujajo zopet isto zgodbo. Ne bom vam razložil zgodbe filma iz preprostega razloga ker nima smisla, ker prvič ni nič novega - če ste videli I’m Legend že veste o čem film govori - kot drugo filmska zgodba je tako slabo slabo zasnovana čeprav konceptna ideja je dobra. Igralciv filmu nam ne posredujejo nobenih čustev Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton in John Leguizamo poskušajo to storiti čez celoten film in to po svojih najboljših močeh, škoda da jim ne uspe. Glavna kritika, vendar pa gre za samo fotografijo, večino filma je tako temna da se ne razume kaj se dogaja. Ni akcije, poskušajo ustvariti nekakšen puzzle, vendar mnogo delov manjka, in je le nekaj trenutkov ki so vredni naziva triler. Nekako je se je zgodilo to kar se je zgodilo z filmom The Happening z Mark Wahlbergom, film izneveri vsa pričakovanja.

Nicolas Cage made a lot of bad movies in his career as an actor The Wiker Man, Ghost Rider, Bangkok Dangerous, Zandalee and that's just to name a few (in his career has shot 66 films, most of which are just a colossal crap), The Season of the Witch is not worth the ticket price. The main plot is so poor, the film aspires to be a fantasy-adventure-action movie, but it is not, and I really do not know what this film is. Cannot be a historical epic because it’s too ˝small˝, it cannot be a fantasy because there is no fantasy in this film. So I wonder, but mostly cause I think Nicolas Cage is after all a good actor, why did you accept to act in this flick, need money?

Di cavolate nella sua carriera di attore Nicolas Cage ne ha fatte tante The Wiker Man, Ghost Rider, Bangkok Dangerous, Zandalee e questo solo per nominarne qualcuno (nella sua carriera ha girato 66 film di cui la maggior parte sono cagate colossali), The Season of the Witch  non vale nemmeno il prezzo del biglietto. La storia non ce, il film aspira ad essere un fantasy-adventure-action movie, ma non lo e', non si sa cosa sia questo film. Non puo' essere un colossal perche' e' troppo ˝piccolo˝, non puo' essere un fantasy perche' tranne gli ultimi dieci minuti non ha nulla di fantasy. Quindi mi domando, ma sopratutto perche' credo che Nicolas Cage sia tutto sommato un buon attore, perche' ti riduci a fare certi film, ti servono soldi?

Nicolas Cage je v svoji karieri kot igralec igral v veliko slabih filmov The Wiker Man, Ghost Rider, Bangkok Dangerous, Zandalee in to sem jih naštel le nekaj (v svoji karieri posnel 66 filmov, ki so večinoma le ogromno sranje), Season of the Witch ni vreden niti cene vstopnice. Glavne zgodba je tako slaba, film si prizadeva da bi film a fantasy-adventure-action, vendar ni, in jaz res ne vem, kaj naj bi ta celovečerec bil. Ne more biti zgodovinski ep, ker je preveč ˝majhen˝, da ne more biti fantasy ker ni ničesar magičnega v tem filmu. Zato se sprašujem, predvsem pa za to ker Nicolas Cage je navsezadnje dober igralec, zakaj je sprejel vlogo v tejm filmu, potrebuje tako krvavo denar?

John carpenter, the master of horror is back.

His last movie was in 2001, Ghost of Mars, and to tell the thuth the flick sucks pretty much.

Carpenter however it is not a director in retirement, that is why I expect from this last work to be something special, because frankly one who directed Halloween and Escape from New York can do better that Ghost of Mars.

The Ward is the story of a blonde (who knows why?!?:) locked in an mental hospital, and it is here that the story begins. The Ward  indeed seems haunted by spirits and evil ghosts.

To be honest this movie reminds me so much of a film that is to exit in these days Sucker Punch, in fact the protagonists of The Ward are mostly women, also they try to escape from psychiatric institution, doctors ara also crazy, etc.

We will see, I hope that Carpenter after 10 years does not disappoint me again. 

John Carpenter , il maestro dell'horror e' ritornato.

Il suo ultimo film risale al 2001, e per dire la verita' ha fatto anche schifo come film, Ghost of Mars. Carpenter comunque non e' un regista sulla via del tramonto, ecco perche' mi aspetto da questo ultimo lavoro che sia qualcosa di speciale, perche' francamente uno che ha diretto Halloween e Escape from New York puo fare di meglio che Ghost on Mars.

The Ward tratta la storia di una (chissa perche') bionda che viene rinchiusa in un manicomio, ed e' proprio qui che comincia la storia. Il manicomio infatti sembra infestato dagli spiriti del male e da fantasmi.

Se devo essere sincero mi ricorda tanto un film che sta per uscire in questi giorni Sucker Punch, infatti le protagoniste di The Ward sono prevalentemente donne, anche loro cercano di scappare dall'istituto psichiatrico, dottori pazzoidi, ecc.

Vedremo, spero' che Carpenter dopo 10 anni non deluda di nuovo.

Njegov zadnji film je bil leta 2001, in če sem iskren je film precej zanič, Ghost of Mars.
Carpenter pa ni direktor pred upokojitvijo, zato pričakujem od tega zadnjega dela da bo nekaj posebnega, ker odkrito rečeno režiser Halloweena in Pobega iz New Yorka lahko naaredi bistveno boljši film kakor pa Ghost of Mars.

The Ward je zgodba o blondinki (kdo ve, zakaj ?!?:) ki je priprta v psihiatrični kliniki, in tu se zgodba tudi začne, saj se v umobolnici skrivajo zli duhovi.
Če sem iskren ta film me spominja nekoliko na Sucker Punch, filem ki bo izšel v naslednjih dneh.  Večinoma glavne vloge igrajo ženske ki prav tako poskušajo pobegniti iz psihiatrične bolnišnice, itd.
Videli bomo, upam, da Carpenter po 10 letih me ne bo spet razočaral.

VANISHING ON 7th Street

Why I Have the impression that I had already seen this movie??? Oh yeah, I'm Legend with Will Smith or if you want Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price. The budeget is perhaps the most interesting thing about this movie, 10 million dollars.

The movie is directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Transibirian), it seems more a adaptation of a story already seen, which surprised me, because Brad Andersom has always tried to bring on the big screen new things. The fact is, that Vanishing on 7th Street will be released in theaters in February, after a post production of a year and a half. The cast includes (but there are just a few actors) Thandie Newton (MI2, 2012, The Pursuit of Happiness), Hayden Christensen (Star Wars II and III, Jumper) and John Leguizamo (Ice Age – Sid, Assault on Precinct 13, Spun). We just have to wait and see if this one is better then the the two mentioned above. I think not.

Perche' ho come l'impressione di aver gia visto questo film??? A si giusto, I'm Legend con Will Smith oppure se si vuole Last Man on Earth con Vincent Price. Il budeget e' forse la parte piu' interessante 10 milioni di dollari.

Il film diretto da Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Transibirian), sembra piu' un riadattamento di una storia gia' vista, il che mi sorprende visto che come regista ha sempre cercato di portare sul grande schermo cose nuove. Sta di fatto che  Vanishing on 7th Street uscira' nei cinema a febbraio dopo una post produzione di un anno e mezzo. Il cast comprende (ma ci sono comunque pochi attori vista la tematica) Thandie Newton (MI2, 2012, The Pursuit of Happyness), Hayden Christensen (Star Wars II e III, Jumper) e John Leguizamo (Ice Age – Sid, Assault on Precinct 13, Spun).

Non resta che aspettare e vedere se e' migliore dei due citati sopra. Non credo.

Zakaj imam občutek da sem že videl ta film?? Oh ja, I'm Legend z Will Smithom, ali če želite Last Man on Earth z Vincent Price. Filmski budeget je morda najbolj zanimiva stvar pri tem filmu, 10 milijonov dolarjev.
Film je režiral Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Transibirian), in se zdi bolj adaptacija zgodbe ki smo jo že videli, kar me je iskreno rečeno presenetilo, saj je Brad Andersn vedno do zdaj poskušal prinesti da na velike zaslone nove in sveže stvari. Dejstvo je da bo Vanishing on 7th Street prišel v kino dvorane v februarju, potem ko so porabili za post produkcijo skoraj leto in pol. Igralska zasedba vključuje Thandie Newton (MI2, 2012, The Pursuit of Happyness), Hayden Christensen (Star Wars II in III, Jumper) in John Leguizamo (Ice Age - Sid, Assault on Precinct 13, Spun). Počakati bomo morali in videti kako bo ali bo boljši od dveh zgoraj omenjenih ali ne. Mislim, da ne.
