Johnny Depp talks exclusively about 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' and the possibility of 'Pirates 5'

When Johnny Depp appeared at a Disney fan convention in the fall of 2009 to hype the announcement of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, it looked like fair weather-sailing for the fourth movie in the blockbuster franchise. But as the cover story of this week’s special 2011 preview issue reveals, the subsequent journey was anything but squall-free. Indeed, for a while, it looked like Depp himself was about to jump ship. “Things became a little creaky,” admits the superstar. The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced operation also had to deal with bad weather of a literal stripe while shooting in Hawaii and the pregnancy of franchise newcomer Penélope Cruz, though Depp says the blooming actress could hardly have been more game. “It was funny to see a pregnant woman sword-fighting,” he laughs.

Audiences will be able to see the end result of Depp, Bruckheimer, Cruz, and director Rob Marshall’s endeavors when On Stranger Tides opens May 20. These days, Depp says he would be happy to play Captain Jack again, and that there have already been discussions about a fifth movie. “As long as we can put all the puzzle pieces together, I would most definitely consider it,” he says.

Ma come la storia di copertina, di questa settimana del speciale 2011 numero in anteprima rivela, il viaggio successivo è stato tutt'altro che privo di problemi. Infatti, per un po’ sembrava che Depp stesso era in procinto di abbandonare la nave. "Le cosa è diventata un po 'scricchiolante", ammette la superstar. L'operazione di Jerry Bruckheimeril brutto tempo durante le riprese alle Hawaii e la gravidanza di della nuova arrivata Penélope Cruz, anche se Depp dice, la gravidanza dell'attrice non avrebbe potuto essere più divertente. "E 'stato divertente vedere una donna incinta combattere con la spada", dice ridendo.

Il pubblico sarà in grado di vedere il risultato finale di Depp, Bruckheimer, Cruz e il regista Rob Marshall per  On Stranger Tides quando arrivera nei cinema il 20 maggio. In questi giorni, Depp dice che sarebbe felice di interpretare di nuovo il Capitano Jack, e che ci sono già state discussioni circa un quinto film. "Finché possiamo mettere tutti i pezzi del puzzle insieme, sicuramente lo prendero in considerazione,"dice.

iPhone 4 Movie by: Park Chan-Wook

Park Chan-Wook, the director of Oldboy, South Korean masterpiece of 2003, has shot a mid-length movie with an iPhone 4. The film's title Paranmanjang (Ups And Downs), fantasy-horror in which a man, at night, fishing in a river finds the body of a woman, in a panic tries to cut the fishing line but ends up more and more entangled. He faints, to wake up wearing the clothes of the women. At that point, the film changes the point of view, assume that of the dead woman, and the film becomes a tale that is based on traditional Korean life and death.

"We did everything like a traditional film, from casting to location scouting to production itself," said Park, "just using an iPhone instead of a normal camera."

Park Chan-Wook il regista di Old Boy, capolavoro Sud Coreano del 2003, ha girato un medio-medtraggio con un iPhone 4. Il titolo del film e Paranmanjang (Ups And Downs), fantasy-horror nel quale un uomo , di notte, pesca in un fiume il corpo di una donna: nel panico, cerca di tagliare la lenza ma finisce con l’invischiarvisi sempre di più; poi sviene, per risvegliarsi vestito con gli abiti della donna. A quel punto, il film cambia punto di vista, assume quello della morta, e il film diventa un racconto che si basa sulle tradizioni coreani sulla vita e sulla morte.

“Abbiamo fatto tutto come per un film tradizionale, dal casting alla ricerca delle location alla produzione vera e propria,” ha detto Park, “solo usando un iPhone al posto di una normale macchina da presa.”

John carpenter, the master of horror is back.

His last movie was in 2001, Ghost of Mars, and to tell the thuth the flick sucks pretty much.

Carpenter however it is not a director in retirement, that is why I expect from this last work to be something special, because frankly one who directed Halloween and Escape from New York can do better that Ghost of Mars.

The Ward is the story of a blonde (who knows why?!?:) locked in an mental hospital, and it is here that the story begins. The Ward  indeed seems haunted by spirits and evil ghosts.

To be honest this movie reminds me so much of a film that is to exit in these days Sucker Punch, in fact the protagonists of The Ward are mostly women, also they try to escape from psychiatric institution, doctors ara also crazy, etc.

We will see, I hope that Carpenter after 10 years does not disappoint me again.

Il suo ultimo film risale al 2001, e per dire la verita' ha fatto anche schifo come film, Ghost of Mars. Carpenter comunque non e' un regista sulla via del tramonto, ecco perche' mi aspetto da questo ultimo lavoro che sia qualcosa di speciale, perche' francamente uno che ha diretto Halloween e Escape from New York puo fare di meglio che Ghost on Mars.

The Ward tratta la storia di una (chissa perche') bionda che viene rinchiusa in un manicomio, ed e' proprio qui che comincia la storia. Il manicomio infatti sembra infestato dagli spiriti del male e da fantasmi.

Se devo essere sincero mi ricorda tanto un film che sta per uscire in questi giorni Sucker Punch, infatti le protagoniste di The Ward sono prevalentemente donne, anche loro cercano di scappare dall'istituto psichiatrico, dottori pazzoidi, ecc.

Vedremo, spero' che Carpenter dopo 10 anni non deluda di nuovo.

Njegov zadnji film je bil leta 2001, in če sem iskren je film precej zanič, Ghost of Mars.
Carpenter pa ni direktor pred upokojitvijo, zato pričakujem od tega zadnjega dela da bo nekaj posebnega, ker odkrito rečeno režiser Halloweena in Pobega iz New Yorka lahko naaredi bistveno boljši film kakor pa Ghost of Mars.

The Ward je zgodba o blondinki (kdo ve, zakaj ?!?:) ki je priprta v psihiatrični kliniki, in tu se zgodba tudi začne, saj se v umobolnici skrivajo zli duhovi.
Če sem iskren ta film me spominja nekoliko na Sucker Punch, filem ki bo izšel v naslednjih dneh.  Večinoma glavne vloge igrajo ženske ki prav tako poskušajo pobegniti iz psihiatrične bolnišnice, itd.
Videli bomo, upam, da Carpenter po 10 letih me ne bo spet razočaral.
